Lush' Trichomania shampoo - review

Lush Lush Lush, who doesn't love Lush? Well, I do and I have been loving them for many years. Their products smell really nice, the packaging is cute and nature friendly, and the most important thing is, is that their products do not contain harmful ingredients, they do not test on animals (nor are their ingredients tested on animals) and their stuff actually works! I also need to mention that the girls working in the shops are absolutely lovely!
So, Trichomania; a fancy name which basically means "a love for hair." And oh boy this shampoo bar not only loves hair, but my hair loves it too! According to Lush the shampoo bar, "Moisturises, conditions and fragrance dry and processed hair with squeezed coconut. Use it all over for delectable, soft skin and hair. Perfect for very dry and afro curls. Trichomania is for hair that's lost its moisture and needs to be tamed, particularly curly hair. It smells like a tropical cocktail."

Ingredients
This luscious white shampoo is packed with creamed coconut. This stuff is gooood! This means that it's going to nourish your hair!  This is especially great for dry and curly hair. Curly-haired girls know that their curlies need extra moisture to keep them shiny and healthy. This shampoo bar is silicone and parabene-free, but it does contain some sulfates. Unfortunately, all Lush shampoos do, as most customers want their shampoo to lather well. Then there's a more unknown ingredient found in the bar, namely, Soya lecithin. This is a oil naturally found in eggs, whole grains and for example soy beans. Lecithin helps to soften the skin. Lush uses it as an emulsifier and a surfactant. Very simple, but very effective. It's also vegan and not tested on animals, which is a big big plus.

Smell
I absolutely adore the smell of this product! Do you hate these artificial coconutty smells like I do? Trichomania smells like real coconut cream, like the one you use for cooking At first the smell really isn't that obvious, but after you wet it...oh my...coconut heaven!

How to use
There are two ways to use this shampoo bar; you can rub it directly onto your hair, making long streaks or circles, or first lather it up into your hands and then divide it onto you head. It's up to you! Make sure to first wet your hair and the bar before using it.

Smell
The rich coconut cream smell is heavenly

Convenience
Even though I love the packaging-reducing ideology of Lush, bottles are more convenient. But it really adds a sort of charm to the product and it works well, that's why it still gets 4 hearts.

result and cleanliness
I haven't used it without a conditioner, but it makes my hair soft and manageable. The moment when I first rinse my hair in the shower, my hair feels like as if I just rinsed out my conditioner. I have never had this experience before! This is all due to the bar, because I don't use conditioner on the crown of my head Also, it perfectly cleans my hair, without stripping it too much of its natural oils!

Price
Trichomania is reasonable priced at around €8,- or €9,- per 100gr. You don't need a lot to make it work!

Overall
one happy Trichomania user!
